In North Carolina, Medicare Plan G is now the highest-coverage and most popular Medicare Supplement plan for people new to Medicare. This used to be Medicare Plan F however it is no longer offered to anyone new to Medicare after January 1st of 2020.
Medigap Plan G pays for 100% of the gaps in Medicare Parts A and B, except for the annual Medicare Part B deductible. In 2023 this deductible was $226. So once your medical bills reach $226, you’ll owe nothing beyond that for any Medicare-approved expense.
