- High-deductible Plan F*
*Medicare Plan F is no longer available to people eligible for Medicare on January 1st of 2020 or later
Medicare Supplement Plan G in Maryland
People in Maryland just enrolling in Medicare for the first time are allowed to enroll in any Medicare Supplement plan except for Medigap Plan F. This is because Medicare Plan F is only available to people who were enrolled in Medicare prior to January 1st, 2020.

Medicare Plan G will most definitely be the most popular Medigap plan for 2025.
Medicare Plan F vs Plan G
If you still have Medicare Plan F and you’d like to save money, use our FREE online quote engine to see the savings by switching to Medicare Plan G. Just enter your zip code above. to get started.
The only difference between Medicare Plan F and Medicare Plan G is who pays the annual Medicare Part B deductible. Medicare Supplement Plan F pays this for you, however, you are paying far more in higher premiums on Medicare Plan F than the deductible amount. On Plan G, you just pay the deductible yourself but save money by doing so.
In 2023 the Medicare Part B deductible was $226 and it should be close to that amount in 2025.
In almost every case the difference in monthly premiums from Plan F to Plan G is far greater than this deductible, meaning you can save money with Plan G.
